Right Hand Woman

In 35-minute dance-puppetry solo Right Hand Woman, tiny bodies, giant menstrual products, and biting humour expose the everyday horrors of living —and creating—in a female body.

Puppet Characters Tony Tamponi, Nurse Speculum, Aida IUD and more suck the audience into a little world exploding with surreality. A minuscule piano being played feverishly inside the living womb, a menstrual cup so monstrous, you might just drown in it — to a tiny puppet woman calling desperately into the void.

Through Right Hand Woman, the audience experiences something that’s hilarious, unsettling, and deeply human, all at once

This work was birthed by myself and a team of 8 Canadian women artists of many artistic disciplines.
